Achieving a far-fetched dream was what the Wright Brothers had in mind in 1903. Although they fulfill their dreams, in their younger historic period it was a different story. Wilbur Wright, the aged(a) of the two, was born near Millvale, Indiana in 1867. Orville was born 4 years later in Dayton, Ohio. They both died in Dayton, Wilbur in 1912 and Orville in 1948. The Wrights grew up in the atmosphere of a informed family. The brothers were lacking in professional training, but they were led by intelligence and mechanical abilities (Bilstein). They had three other siblings and their parents were Milton and Susan Catharine Koerner Wright. later on years of schooling, Wilbur eventually received his high school diploma, but did not go on to any other schooling. On December 14, 1903, the Wrights put everything together, flipped a coin to see who would go first, and they were off. Not quite though, because they grade the ground and damaged the rudder which led to other problems elsewhere.

On December 17, 1903 in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, the Wrights make their first sustained flight creating a new exertion in aeronautics. One of their many creations throughout the airplane was a wind tunnel, which made better angles when flying. They made four flights that day and only one was successful. Of those flights, Orville lasted 12 seconds and then Wilbur covered 852 feet in 59 seconds (Pendergast).
